La Ritrosa

La Ritrosa is located within the prestigious seaside estate of Roccamare, a unique pinewood enclave on the Tuscan coast where, in the 1960s, a circle of entrepreneurs, writers, artists and intellectuals built private residences immersed in nature. Surrounded by the lush vegetation of the Mediterranean maquis and overlooking a long stretch of pristine coastline, the estate remains fully gated with 24-hour security, preserving its peaceful and discreet atmosphere.

The villa itself sits just a few hundred metres from the beach, accessed via quiet pathways through the pine forest. Originally designed by architect Miglietta, who developed the overall master plan of Roccamare and many of its villas, the house retains the architectural spirit of the estate while offering modern comfort.

Recently acquired by its current owners, La Ritrosa underwent a careful and extensive renovation in 2025. The restoration aimed to preserve the villa’s original character while updating the interiors and facilities to meet the standards of a contemporary luxury residence. The result is a refined yet relaxed home that blends effortlessly into its natural surroundings.

Particular attention was devoted to the gardens. The surrounding Mediterranean vegetation was completely reimagined and enriched with the addition of more than three thousand plants. Carefully designed pathways and open views now connect different parts of the garden while maintaining the natural character of the landscape.

Several secluded outdoor spaces have been created for relaxing, reading, or enjoying meals outdoors surrounded by greenery. Combined with its proximity to the sea and the quiet privacy of the Roccamare estate, La Ritrosa offers a rare balance of nature, elegance and coastal living.
