In prominent positions with uninterrupted view over the Mediterranean Sea, our three four- bedroom Coral Villa rise among the gentle slopes of the sunny coast and are spread over two floors, each looking out over an expansive private pool and the southern Sicilian coast below as well as Verdura’s white-sand beaches.
The outdoor and pool areas of these villas are a seamless continuation of the indoor living space, featuring plush chaise loungers, outdoor grill and expanded terraces.
Inside, the ground floor encompasses a spacious studio, living area, dining room and kitchen. In the centre resides a boutique, bamboo-populated atrium, which enhances the natural light that floods in from the sea-facing floor-to-ceiling windows and adds yet another opportunity to soak up the surrounding scenery.
Three of the four bedrooms are located upstairs on the first floor, each enjoying en-suite bathrooms, king-sized beds and a commanding view over the coast. All bedrooms enjoy a private outdoor terrace that provides the perfect spot from which to sip a morning espresso or evening aperitif. The fourth bedroom enjoys all the features of a stylish master bedroom, and is detached from the rest of the villa to form a secluded haven with separate entrance. (Occupancy : 8 + 1 extra bed)
ABOUT SICILY, ITALY
Sicily is an island of volcanic coastlines, idyllic beaches, historic cities, Greek temples and Roman sites. And of course, one of the highlights is also its food: It’s also renowned for its fresh-off-the-boat seafood, with endless restaurants serving up exquisite Sicilian cooking – with generations-old recipes.
Born out of turmoil, Sicily was occupied for millennia by the Greeks, Romans, Arabs and French, all of which has left a visible mark on the island. From the Valley of the Temples near the town of Agrigento, with its extraordinary ancient Greek architecture, to the rich, intricate Roman mosaics at Villa Romana del Casale, this is a place for history buffs and art lovers to rejoice.
Guests staying at Verdura Resort have endless places to explore right on their doorstep: Our Verdura Discovery Trek takes you along the stunning coastline beneath the historic Torre, dating from the late 1500s; Sciacca, which was founded by the Greeks as a thermal resort for nearby Selinunte in the fifth century BC, has striking sixteenth century ramparts and Norman churches; and the archaeological area of Agrigento Templi is home to the fifth century BC Temples of Concordia and Juno.
