FEATURES

Main House 

La Villa Bucher’s interiors have an elegant and classically modern style. The 2 luxury bedrooms and 2 Studios are very spacious, recently renovated, and enjoy amazing views over the valley and the vineyards. The large living area is bright and light-filled during the day and romantically illuminated in the evening.

Dependence 

An adjoining house has 2 apartments with an integrated kitchen and 360° views of Perugia. On a clear day, you also can see the old castles in Todi. Both areas can be inhabited independently. A wine cellar was built under the Dependance in 2021, and it is used to present and store the wine bottles, and to offer guests wine tastings at the villa.

Terrace 

The 300m2 terrace of tiled Italian stone boasts views over the green valley of Italy. Enjoy the captivating panorama from the comfortable terrace furniture and relax in the sun. The stunning 20m+ infinity pool has the perfect water temperature, and watching the sunset from here is a real highlight. 

The Vineyard

Extending over 65 hectares (6.5 of which is for grape production), the vineyard’s position benefits from a favourable microclimate. The well-balanced harmony of climatic factors such as sun, light, air, ventilation and rainfall produces fruits capable of generating high-quality wines, true interpreters of the peculiarities of the territory. 

The various types of grapes are all hand-picked and vinified separately, to derive the best quality result from each. The resulting wines are endowed with a strong personality, great structure and are gifted with longevity; for this reason, the reds, in particular, are well-suited for long ageing. La Villa even invites its guests to create one’s own red wine barrel to bottle and label one’s very own wines.  

ABOUT UMBRIA, ITALY 

Umbria is a beautiful landlocked region often referred to as ‘the green heart of Italy’, thanks to its beautiful countryside. The region is a paradise of rolling hills and historical towns and it is also well known for olive oil and ceramics, two of the excellencies of this area.

In the heart of Umbrian countryside, near Marsciano, La Villa is easy to reach and almost equidistant from Perugia, Assisi, Spello, Foligno, Todi and Orvieto. It is the ideal base for wonderful excursions to discover the cultural and architectural beauty typical of central Italy. 

Perugia

A beautiful historical town famous for, among other things, chocolate. Perugia has the honour of being both the capital of the Umbria region and of the Province of Umbria. Located in the centre of the country, Perugia is approximately equidistant from both Florence and Rome and sits in a hilltop region surrounded by valleys and mountains.

Terni

Terni benefits from its fantastic location in the Umbrian countryside – surrounding the city is a plethora of national parks and areas of natural beauty such as the Parco Fluviale del Nera and Lago di Piediluco.

Foligno

Foligno’s historic centre has a number of beautiful religious buildings and noble palaces.

Città di Castello

Città di Castello may not have the notoriety of other Italian cities, but for Italians, this is the place to visit for festivals, food, art galleries and museums.

Spoleto

This is an area known for its rich and hearty cuisine, traditional handicrafts, and long-standing viniculture.

Todi

Todi is at the centre of Italy’s only region without a coastline or international border: Umbria. It’s a delightfully stranded place; a tranquil town with fine views from high on its hill above the River Tiber, across hills dotted with isolated hamlets, olive groves, sunflower fields and rolling farmland.
